Yes all our gowns come with a complimentary bandeau. You can purchase larger bandeaus separately in the accessories section of the shop.

I offer a tutorial appointment in my studio (located by the nec birmingham) however if you are not local to me I also have a tutorial on the homepage of my website. There are lots of YouTube tutorials too. 

If you would like a dress lining we can do this for an extra £15 please email to arrange extra payment. Although our fabric is very thick so this isn’t something that is needed in general.

Unfortunately we don’t offer a payment plan option. It’s full payment on order. 

Really easy and cost effective too! Our dresses have a raw edge, so no hem is required. You simply cut using scissors to alter the length. Most brides do this themselves however we do advise asking a seamstress. No need to touch the waist as it’s elasticated. 

Terms & Conditions

Our adult multiway dresses will fit size 6-18/20. 

We also offer a curve range which will fit size 22-30. If you wish for a more fuller pleated look then a size 18-20 can also wear a curve range. Please advise dress size in the notes section at checkout.

Child dresses are recommended from 3years. They are made to measure from a waist and length measurement. 

We offer x5 lengths for adults. This is to try and avoid you having alteration fees. Please measure from an inch or two under your bra strap at the front to the floor in inches. If you are wearing heels on the day, please take your measurements in a heels similar the height you are wearing on the day. If you are unsure always go longer as you can always remove length. 

As every order is made to fit, we DO NOT accept returns on any of our products. Please double check your order before checking out as no order can be amended from this point. Faulty products need to be emailed to us within 2weeks of receiving your order, a replacement product will be exchanged for the exact colour/size.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for your order to be dispatched. We advise ordering at least 3 months before your big day to allow for any delays.

All orders will be sent recorded delivery with royal mail up to x4 dresses and parcel-force for 5+ dresses. Each parcel will be insured up to £50 if you would like to increase this amount please get in touch prior to delivery to arrange an upgraded delivery quote. Once an order has been dispatched from us, KATES DRESSES holds no responsibility for damaged/lost parcels. You will be responsible for dealing with the courier direct. 

Please note our gowns do not come pre-styled. They are wrap dresses which allow you to wrap the dress to your desired style. Our gowns come with an elasticated waist which will allow for weight fluctuation. Please consider heel height, bums & tums when choosing the length of your gown as this has a huge effect on the length.  All gowns come with a complimentary bandeau to allow for extra coverage if you require a wider/longer bandeau please purchase this in the shop. To work out which length dress is best suited for you please measure an inch or two from under the bust to the floor or desired length in inches.

Estimated guide:

42” upto 5ft4

44” upto 5ft6

46” upto 5ft8

48” upto 5ft10

E.G If you are 5ft6 and wearing a 2” heel you will need 46” length! Always go longer if you are unsure.

Please note: Each dress is handmade and length can vary slightly from gown to gown, this is very rare and far between. All our gowns are made with love and extra care is always taken however each roll of fabric can differ therefore it is important to allow 2-3cm scope with length to allow for fabric shrinkage.

We advise ordering your dresses at the same time to avoid your dresses being made from a different batch of fabric. All our fabric is dyed, therefore there is a small chance your dresses may have some colour variation. This is very rare but if it does occur and you ordered your dresses at different times, KATES DRESSES holds no responsibility for this.

You can purchase a sample gown (not always available in your shade) at full cost. If you decide my gowns aren’t for you, you can simply return the gown (postage at your cost) and there will be a £10 restocking fee deducted from your refund.

If you decide to order – the full funds will be transferred to your new gown via a coupon code which will be emailed to you on receipt of the sample gown back to KATES DRESSES. You will then use your coupon code at checkout to redeem your full funds off  of  your main order.

Coupon codes are valid for 12weeks. Once you have agreed to a coupon code you cannot change for a refund at a later date.

You can keep the sample dress for 14days (extended to 4weeks during Covid19). Please note a late fee will be charged if the gown is not returned within this time frame. The late fee is £10 per week and will be deducted from refund/coupon code.

Please note swatches can be much older than the batch of fabric used for your dresses, therefore please be aware that minimal colour variation can occur. Unfortunately this is simply down to the fabric being dyed and cannot be avoided.
